Inventory Control / Buyer ensures proper purchase of materials as well as capturing and monitoring inventory movement within our ERP system.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Will be expected to improve inventory systems including updating part numbers, revising stock levels, and modifying inventory consumption process.
• Maintain Outside Vendor Process including generating purchase orders and communication with vendors.
• Develop and sustain accurate inventory management of purchased items.
• Responsible for all changes/updates/inventory in ERP system. This includes notification of changes to appropriate personnel and obtaining prior authorization to make changes in ERP system.
• Responsible for keeping stock items and parts in an organized manner.
• Maintains warehouse inventory management system within our ERP system (NetSuite).
• Establishes processes and procedures that support and record production inventory activities.
• Manages and creates inventory control processes.
• Procure production supplies and resell items as necessary, including equipment, tools, parts, and supplies.
• Work with suppliers on custom-designed items according to our specific needs and specifications.
• Analyze physical inventory, establishing/maintaining inventory discrepancy investigations.
• Physically Receives all purchased items, verifies counts, signs documentation/packing list, places items in assigned inventory/allocated areas.
• Reads Prints (2D Drawings) and enters part numbers, materials into ERP system.
• Maintain accurate system records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery performance and product quality performance.
• Will be responsible for return and corrective action for non-conforming items.
• Continually evaluate inventory stock levels and ensure appropriate stock on all production supplies and inventory items.
• Consistently interact with ERL Receiving personnel to resolve problems related to system data flow as related to payables and inventory matters.
• Ensures all packing lists and/or pertinent documentation is scanned in NetSuite and filed in the appropriate location as directed.
• Responsible for receiving all purchased goods within ERP system.
• Communicate and build relationships with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedules.

Required Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills required

• Clear and effective communication
• Understanding of work processes and workflow
• Self-driven with strong work ethic and initiative
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus
• Ability to read and understand prints (2D Drawings) a plus
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, ERP)
