Job Description

Assist with the SRM and NPW daily inventory transaction-related processes such as: inventory issuing, inventory reconciliation, cycle count, and physical inventory count. Partner with Finance and Material team in resolving purchase order issues and workflows. Collaborate with all departments to develop and implement metrics that drive improvements in inventory management and lead best practices. This position will also work with Training to ensure proper onboarding and training of new employees for parts and materials and support continuing education for the current workforce.

AS A INVENTORY CONTRO SPECIALIST YOU WILL:

  • Support training on parts and materials for new and current workforce.
  • Inventory Project Teams – participate in and support internal/external project teams within the SRM plant.
  • Ensure material is properly stored and organized.
  • Problem receipts area metric - physical count of problem receipts area, verify report is accurate, assist buyers in cleaning up PRs, provide metrics.
  • Oversee Cycle Count Results and Lead Cycle Count Audits – review data and suggest process improvements to ensure accuracy levels.
  • Received Not Delivered - maintain received not delivered purchase orders. Work with buyers and floor supervisors to resolve.
  • Audit Change Order/Cancellation Transactions – ensure accuracy and completion.
  • Aging and Delinked Discrete Jobs - review aging jobs, research, and work with appropriate departments to resolve.
  • Scrap Auditor - verify MRB accounts and audit scrap disposal.
  • Assist with Workflows – troubleshoot issues with current workflow setups.
  • Drive Inventory Accuracy Improvements.
  • WIP Variance Research and Closeout - close WIP jobs each month. Reconcile the WIP variances and resolve issues with Engineers, QA, Floor Supervisors and/or material dept. Report findings back to Senior Accountant.
  • Open Receipts/Un-invoiced Receipts - assist Finance and Buyer/Planners on resolutions to close out issues.
  • Rework Monitoring – monitor and investigate rework transactions, report any issues to the Senior Accountant.


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Ability to use personal computer and other general office equipment
  • 7+ years of experience in inventory control
  • Working knowledge of math fundamentals

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts
  • Ability to abide by confidentiality procedures
