TITLE: Inventory Cycle Counter

BASIC PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:

Conducts physical inventory counts and warehouse case maintenance. Researches, reports discrepancies and prepares weekly reports.

Salary: Competitive Wages - The pay range is $19.93 to $28.47 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verify total case count assembled by warehouse assemblers to store invoice when applicable
• Reconciles physical and financial inventories in LCS
• Reports discrepancies to warehouse supervisor
• Completes warehouse case maintenance (physically measuring case dimensions, verifying slot heights and performing necessary computer entries)
• Compares and reconciles physical inventory counts to those maintained in the inventory system
• Monitors chargeback, RTV and store return activity
• Completes necessary system maintenance to ensure accurate inventory accountability
• Completes research to determine reason why pallets cannot be slotted by the inventory system
• Recap audit results for weekly reporting
• Making entries for store returns and printing various related reports

SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Possess excellent math skills, figure aptitude and 10-key calculator skills
• Good telephone and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy in counting product with multiple layers and varying cases per layer
• Work is performed under typical warehouse conditions. Potential hazards exist with regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc. Work environment is hectic and fast paced.
• Stamina for working in a warehouse environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk to various locations within the warehouse facility, move rapidly, end, stoop, and twist and turn frequently. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination are necessary
• Temperatures in the warehouse may vary between -5 to 70 degrees. Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable tolerance ranges for those specific work areas. Ear plugs are available upon request.
• Some lifting of product cases required (up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Possess good oral and written communications skills internally as well as with vendors
