We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Inventory Administrator with a primary focus on shipping and receiving. As an Inventory Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of inventory in our retail outdoors store, which specializes in firearms products, archery products, and fly fishing products. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for outdoor activities.
Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders and invoices.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
• General Administrative Tasks:
• Conduct regular inventory counts to reconcile physical stock levels with the system records.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve operational processes and efficiency.
• Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Communicate with customers regarding order status, tracking information, and any potential delays or issues.
• Order Fulfillment:
• Update inventory databases and maintain accurate stock records, including item descriptions, quantities, and locations.
• Quality Control:
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure all order requirements are met, such as special packaging or shipping instructions.
• Inventory Control:
• Prepare and pack items for outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate labeling and appropriate packaging for different product types.
• Shipping and Receiving Management:
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
• Prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and labeling of products.
• Report any product defects or quality issues to the appropriate departments.
• Inspect and document the condition of received goods, noting any discrepancies or damages.
• Assist with product returns, exchanges, and warranty claims, following established procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock situations to the purchasing department.
• Collaborate with the sales team to prioritize and process customer orders in a timely manner.
• Identify and investigate any inventory discrepancies or shortages, collaborating with the appropriate departments to resolve issues promptly.
• Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and safety regulations related to firearms, archery, and fly fishing products.
• Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet the established standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Knowledge of firearms, archery, or fly fishing products is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory control, preferably in a retail environment.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management software and MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy packages.
