IRCA has made 2 bolt-on acquisitions in the areas of candied fruits (Cesarin) and pistachio ingredients (Anastasi) in 2022, and recently acquired a leading manufacturer of sweet and cereal products in Europe and the US. The target’s business focuses on high-value add specialty ingredients for the Food Manufacturers segment, with a portfolio that incorporates a range of products including sweet particulates, chocolate confections, baked inclusions, variegates and fruit purées.
This transformative deal create a global leader in the semi-finished ingredients industry, with 22 manufacturing facilities in Europe, US and Vietnam and a combined €1 billion of revenues (2022).
Irca Group is seeking an experienced Sales Manager in the US Market with a focus on the Multi-Unit/Chain Account segment. The goal is to help grow, support, and continue to develop the Irca Group products for existing and new clients for our western USA division.
Purpose of Position:
The International Logistics Specialist reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for export document preparation, and logistics for shipments from Irca US to various global customers including Mexico, Canada and other international locations. The Specialist role ensures documents are prepared timely and accurately for on-time delivery of commercial shipments and international sample shipments. This role is also responsible to communicate cross-functionally to provide the highest level of service to Irca customers. The specialists will primarily work with the TradeSphere tool day to day and experience with TradeShere is preferred.
- Work in pilot plant, and support production scale ups and commercialization
- Optimize formulations and work with cross functional groups to optimize the strength of Irca and deliver the best experience for our customers.
- Field customer requests both internal and external to satisfy project needs from a conceptual phase through commercialization and troubleshooting
- Complete project requests within the time frame required by the customer
- Development of new and improved methods and systems for food processing, production, quality control and packaging
Description of main Activities/responsibilities:
- Special project work as assigned
- Request international freight quotes and arrange freight for export shipments
- Maintain daily report with status of all open orders assigned to the Export Specialist
- Prepare export documentation for assigned customers/regions.
- Develop Expertise in all systems used by the team (i.e. Mapics, TradeSphere)
- Complete any data entry required to finalize export orders and make ready for transport.
- Prepare export documentation for international sample shipments
Professional and Personal skills:
- Any general logistic experience focus on exporting experience.
- BA or BS degree, or related YOE
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of Incoterms (International Commercial Terms)
- Working and collaborating with global teams.
- 3-5 years’ experience in related supply chain/logistics experience preferred
- Working knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment.
- Preferred experience with import/export operations, knowledge of regulations and experience with the government agencies that regulate US export transactions.
Travel requirements
Some domestic travel to production plant in Beloit, WI as necessary.
