Logistics Associate – International Commodities Company Jobs

Proven experience (5+ years) In logistics management, preferably within the fashion industry

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with a focus on cost optimization and service quality.

Implement and maintain inventory management systems, ensuring accurate inventory tracking, minimizing stockouts, and optimizing inventory levels

Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and meet customer requirements

Manage transportation activities, including freight forwarding, shipping, and customs clearance, to optimize cost, speed, and reliability of deliveries

Strong knowledge of supply chain processes.

: International Logistics Coordinator (Onsite)

·HTS Assignment and maintain master file in systems

·Bookings-review open purchase orders, create booking plans and instructions; process all thru NetSuite and Excel based report

Coordinate and communicate with the Planning and Purchasing teams to meet requirements for on-time delivery, inventory optimization and cost management.

3-5 Years’ experience in operational logistics and/or supply chain management

Experience leading and managing vendor identification, negotiation, and performance management.

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Transportation Logistics, Operations Management preferred, however relevant experience will be prioritized.

Passion to identifying, executing change management opportunities.

Manage global carrier and freight forwarder negotiation, contracts, quality impact, service, and relationships.

Strong time management skills and ability to work well under pressure and with competing tasks

Bachelor’s degree with minimum 4 years of experience in an operations support role

Daily interaction with Traders, Sales, Technology, Legal, Strategists and other Operational departments

Preparation and review of escalation and control reports

Technical & Analytical Focus with attention to detail

Proactive, self-starting individual with high levels of ownership

Customer ServiceProcess Knowledge – Capable of understanding requirements to successfully manage orders through to completion of delivery of material

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The role works primarily inSAP, an in-house export management tool, and via email / IM.

Complete foreign trade data requirements in SAP andgenerate export documents for export orders

Determineexport controls (EAR, ITAR, OFAC, DEA, HTS, License, End Use Certificates)applicable to the order and ensure completion of all applicable requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

Extensive exposure to industry authorities within Portfolio Management and across other functional areas of the firm

Coordinating with Portfolio Management on re-balancing of portfolios

Assisting in account transitions and cash flow management

Responding to ad hoc requests from the Portfolio Management team

Good understanding of fixed income and equities including knowledge of most cash and derivative instruments

Outstanding communication skills are required to operate in a complex financial environment

Manage all International freight IN & freight OUT requests for Componentry & Finished Goods.

Compare multiple freight rates, negotiate where needed and issue approvals based on cost & delivery requirements per shipment.

Manage end-to-end onboarding of new freight partners including cost and contract negotiation.

2+ years’ experience in International shipment scheduling or freight network-related field

Strong communication skills; written, oral and inter-personal

Annual Base Salary Range is $65,000 - $75,000K (based on experience)

Preferred experience with import/export operations, knowledge of regulations and experience with the government agencies that regulate US export transactions.

Complete any data entry required to finalize export orders and make ready for transport.

3-5 years’ experience in related supply chain/logistics experience preferred

Knowledge of Incoterms (International Commercial Terms)

Working knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule

Any general logistic experience focus on exporting experience.

1+ year of relevant experience in Import/Export preferred

Export/Logistics Certifications (Hazardous Materials/Dangerous goods, 49CFR. IATA. IMDG. CGBP. CES. etc.) preferred

Intermediate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills

Solid communication (written and verbal) and organizational skill

Assisting internal and external customers with international logistics related questions.

Managing import freight operations as necessary.

Supporting the issue management process, including late delivery issues, supplier performance, price changes initiated by the supplier post-negotiation, scope/product changes, etc.

Partnering with Manufacturing, Engineering, EH&S and Quality teams to map and address critical requirements.

Experienced in rail, freight, freight forwarding, road, air, shipping.

Understanding the current market and outlook for Logistics and establish robust supply strategies that will ensure operation reliability and cost effectiveness.

Strong project management and organizational skills

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Management

Experience working with EMEA, UK and LATAM and knowledge of International are a plus

Must have good communication skills (articulate ideas and analysis clearly and synthetically)

Experience working in a team-oriented and entrepreneurial environment

Analytical and creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum of 2 years of International Transportation experience working for an ocean carrier or freight forwarding company

Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of accuracy

Power BI Dashboard experience is a plus

Maintain International Freight Rate database(s) that may include imports, exports, drays and foreign to foreign trade lanes

Create and publish weekly allocation reports to ocean carriers and management to ensure continuous flow of product to our distribution network.

Utilizes quantitative skills to create and analyze reports to support business execution.

Develops business tools and solutions based on knowledge, product or technology.

Assist International Manager and Legal with annual contract renewals.

Communicate capacity requirements to ocean carriers and NVOCC’s on an ongoing basis.

Excellent oral and written skills essential.

BA/BS in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or equivalent (or associates degree and equivalent work experience)

5 years of international transportation, international business, or international distribution experience required.

Knowledge of commonly used concepts in transportation principles, practices, and procedures and a solid understanding of export shipment flow.

Strong administrative and clerical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook are necessary.

Experience with export/import documentation and/or experience with perishables and/or seafood industry.
