Summary: The Accountant is responsible for driving invoicing to our external franchise partners, as well as building strong relationships and rapport by providing high levels of service. They will also lead collection of payments from partners and work independently as well as with internal teams to resolve issues and provide timely feedback to partners. Develop an understanding of moderately sophisticated business models. Perform accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger, managerial reports, and financial statements. Position is responsible for accounting for our international business including the creation of monthly journal entries, financial reports, and reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with special projects and departmental goals
- Ensure that all month-end accounting is performed in a timely and accurate manner with a high level of attention to detail
- Prepare manual journal entries to the general ledger
- Research and resolve issues associated with billing & receivables on a timely basis
- Ensure adherence to departmental standards and controls
- Follow up on all outstanding issues on a timely basis
- Identify areas of opportunity/weakness and recommend solutions for achieving optimal efficiency in a controlled environment
- Prepare month end account reconciliations
- Maintain high level of productivity
- Main point of contact for franchise partners regarding billing and collections
- Align with ethical and legal standards
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
- Ability to recognize problems and take appropriate action
- SAP experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a changing, fast paced team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Advanced PC proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint
- Excellent organization and follow-up skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
