As the Head Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing individual and business client services including bookkeeping, payroll reporting, and tax preparations. Our goal is to support the positive impact our clients have in and around our community.

Responsibilities:

1. Tax Planning and Compliance: You'll be the go-to expert for developing comprehensive tax planning strategies that make our clients' dreams shine brighter. Prepare and submit various tax returns with accuracy and a smile, covering individual, corporate, partnership, and payroll taxes while staying on top of any tax law changes that might come our way.
2. Financial Reporting: Dive into the world of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements, where you'll create financial reports that tell our clients' stories with clarity and precision. Your keen eye for detail will guide them towards making informed and confident business decisions.
3. Bookkeeping and Accounting Services: Support our friendly bookkeeping team to ensure our clients' financial records are as inviting as our coastal views. Keep transactions in order, accounts balanced, and bank reconciliations a breeze.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Stay ahead of the game by keeping our firm fully compliant with accounting and tax regulations, giving our clients peace of mind and a warm welcome.
5. Quality Control: Your passion for perfection will ensure our financial processes and reports are as accurate as the tides. Periodic reviews will be a breeze as you ensure we're sailing smoothly.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in accounting software (Intuit), with an eagerness to learn new technologies.
• At least 3-8 years of experience in tax planning, compliance, financial reporting, and/or bookkeeping services.
• Leadership skills that shine like the sun, guiding our team to success.
• A deep knowledge of tax laws, accounting principles, and financial regulations, with a collaborative approach to sharing your expertise.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, making clients feel like old friends from the first meeting.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with bonus points for a Master's degree and/or CPA/EA certification.
