Intern, Finance - Hybrid/Remote

This Finance Intern position is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced Financial Planning & Analysis team at a mission driven organization. Working under the direction of the Lead Financial Analyst, the intern will support various projects and initiatives including monthly close and forecast, annual budget, reporting, modeling, and other activities. The intern will also be a key contributor on an enterprise project with the chance to present to executive leadership at the end of the internship, make a large impact on Be the Match, and support work critical to our missions to save lives through cellular therapy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of analytical rigor, enthusiasm for working with large datasets, comfort with ambiguity, and strong written and verbal communication. This position can be remote (US) or hybrid.

Accountabilities

• Assist with special projects
• Develop presentations for finance leadership on an as needed basis
• Support the annual budget process
• Assist with month-end close and monthly forecasting
• Support day-to-day FP&A responsibilities
• Produce and maintain reports in Excel
• Critical role on enterprise project

Required Qualifications
Knowledge of:

• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• General financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, and financial reporting concepts

Ability To

• Take initiative to problem solve when issues arise
• Organize, coordinate, and prioritize tasks
• Work independently and meet deadlines
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and intellectual curiosity
• Stay focused in a fast-paced environment, while remaining flexible to change

Education And/or Experience

• Pursuing post-secondary education in business, finance, accounting, or related field
