Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients  

Consults with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures

Training and experience in all imaging modalities including plain films, CT, ultrasound and MRI

Board certification in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology

Provides clinical services and teaching of diagnostic radiology and body imaging, and thoracic imaging

Interprets x-rays in all modalities of diagnostic radiology

Mentors and instructs residents, fellows, and medical students in research projects as requested or

Lectures, holds conferences, and participates in related meetings and school functions

Communicate pending pre-certification information issues with technologists and Radiology management.

Build worker’s compensation cases in APM (Allscripts Practice Management).

Collaborate with technologists, on-site radiologists, and/or management to maximize scheduling efforts.

Perform other job duties as assigned.

Ensure that precertification and insurance information is correct and update as needed.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

Limited Scope of Practice Rad Tech Certification and/or one year experience as a Medical Assistant

Limited Scope of Practice Rad Tech Certification required

Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (according to clinic protocol)

Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

Participates in decision-making and process improvement.

Communicates effectively within and beyond assigned team.

Communicates pending pre-certification information issues with technologists and Radiology management.

Practice safe blood and body fluid management.

Must be able to practice safe blood and body fluid management, and transfer patients.

Perform other job duties as assigned.

High School graduate or GED required. One-year training in medical office; recent ambulatory care experience preferred.

Reports to the Advanced Imaging Operations Manager

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: Bachelor's degree required. MBA or Master's degree in related field preferred.

License/Certifications: Certified technologist with current eligibility for State of Maine licensure is preferred but not required.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of hospital radiology experience

Thorough knowledge of all areas of Radiology; high degree of technical knowledge in all imaging specialty areas.

8+ years of sales & sales management experience in the healthcare IT and Life Science industry.

Hands-on management and support of the account executives and region managers.

Present to and manage relationships with senior management at major health systems and life science companies.

Manage, develop, and grow our direct sales team.

Build, manage, and report sales team compensation plan.

Experience leading large, complex sales deals with healthcare providers and Life Science companies.

Current American Registry of Radiological Technologist’s certification (required)

One-year previous experience in hospital setting

Experience with personal computers and various software programs applicable to the position.

Applies principles, theories and techniques of pertinent modality to provide reliable test results.

Provides daily leadership of patient and department workflow.

AS or BS degree (preferred)

Responsibilities will include providing clinical imaging services to interpret X-rays, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound examinations.

Both junior faculty as well as more senior candidates with an academic record commensurate with experience will be considered.

Able to perform non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures.

Participation in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students.

Participation in clinical research, journal club, and weekly multidisciplinary conferences.

Able to serve on Departmental committees as requested by the Chair of Radiology.

Report the status of transportation activities and abnormal activities to the manager in charge.

Assembles and serves meals according to diet orders, menus and patient / guest specific requirements.

Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures.

Remove trash from all assigned areas/replenish supplies as needed.

Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.

Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.

Applicant requirements are Florida Medical License, Board Certification/Board Eligible and Body Imaging Fellowship.

1 year experience in a medical office or radiology office setting preferred.

Enters and retrieves accurate information into RIS. (30%).

Greets and assists the patient before, during, and following procedures. Prepares exam rooms for procedures. (25%).

Provide clerical support to the section such as order clarification, faxing reports, answering phones. (40%).

Maintains adequate supplies for efficient operations. (5%).
