Job Description

A TekStream client, a healthcare technology company, has an immediate opening for an Instructional Designer / Technical Trainer with Technical Writing Skills (Healthcare Technology experience highly preferred). This is a 6 month contract opening (possibly longer) and is 100% remote. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm EST.


The "Learning Program Consultant" will have blended responsibilities of Instructional Design, Technical Writing and Training Delivery.


Responsibilities:

  • Virtual Instructor Led Training Delivery utilizing MS Teams
  • Technical/System Writing: Creating User Guides using Style Sheets within MS Word
  • Instructional Design - drafting PowerPoint presentations; creating eLearning courses, updating Captivate files; uploading SCORM files to LMS; converting recordings into Camtasia files and uploading to LMS; deidentifying screen captures
  • Instructional Design to perform job analysis in order to create Performance Profiles, Development Plans and associated development assets
  • Creating and updating User Guides in Word and Adobe FrameMaker (from "scratch")


Requirements:

  • Excellent oral, written, and delivery communication skills, self-starter, quality focused, attention to detail
  • Healthcare Industry knowledge / systems experience (Blues Family experience preferred)
  • Training Delivery: Virtual Training experience preferred (MS Teams)
  • Instructional Design: Camtasia, Captivate, Articulate Rise, Snagit, SharePoint
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Technical Writing: FrameMaker, MS Word (Style Sheets), MS PowerPoint, Basic Excel
  • 1-2 years' experience in roles such as technical trainer, learning facilitator, instructional designer, technical writer, human performance consultant, or similar role


Qualified and available candidates must be able to work the EST schedule (Mon-Fri 8:30am - 5:00pm EST).
