Job Description
Overview
Summary: ProScribe’s Virtual Instructor-Led Training is a learning method in which the instructor and learner are in separate locations yet meet virtually where the instructor provides training to the learner. As part of the Training Department, the Virtual Instructor Led Trainer (VILT) is responsible for coordinating and conducting virtual classroom training for new employees and scribes. The VILT is also responsible for reporting new hire trends, such as best practices in learning methods, instructional design, and initial technical support for new hires.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support train-the-trainer sessions to familiarize presenters with the utilization of virtual training software and to prepare them for web-based instruction.
  • Communicates with new hires regarding a pass or fail grade and works with Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and Account Management to schedule for the next phase in training.
  • Serve as a point-of-contact for trainees and provides support throughout the training sessions.
  • Responsible for reporting training outliers to the training manager.
  • Welcome new hires into the virtual learning environment at the beginning of courses by taking attendance, introducing features and functionalities of the system, and answering any training-related questions. Host virtual makeup sessions as needed based on new hire needs.
  • Correspond with students to ensure student preparedness before attending class; this may include: technology instructions, how to join sessions, answer student questions, etc.
  • Assists with weekly administrative tasks and assignments
  • Create and maintain daily attendance reports, participant feedback, and instructional or system-related issues.
  • Ability to adapt to various learning styles while maintaining student-centered learning.
  • Supports course instruction by navigating through training slides, enabling and coordinating interactive features in the virtual environment, and monitoring participant engagement and participation.
  • Prepare and upload necessary course materials, including lesson plans, slideshows, and handouts, to prepare for virtual training sessions.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with technical and production issues that may arise.
  • Completes necessary reports to communicate to key departments student completion, pass rate, etc., and submits to Payroll.
  • Reviews grades of new hires completing training and monitor their progress to provide constructive feedback
  • Communicates with trainees regarding participant progress throughout the training sessions.
Qualifications

  • Keyboard proficiency (approximately 60 words/minute).
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with internal stakeholders and management

Education/Experience
High school diploma required. College sophomore or higher is required. Pre-health career track preferred. Medical Scribe and medical scribe, healthcare, or related teaching experience for a minimum of 6 months is preferred.
Technical/Computer Skills
Skilled in operating a personal computer with the ability to operate telecommuting platforms for video conferencing systems; proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides); minimum of 60 WPM preferred. Written and verbal communication skills with a solid grasp of English grammar and usage.
