Manufacturing Quality Engineer Jobs

The Quality Engineer will play a crucial role within the Quality System, utilizing analytical and statistical techniques to continuously enhance the manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will actively contribute to problem-solving, variable control, and providing honest and accurate feedback, all of which are essential to maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate information and feedback to Business Units and the Operations Leadership Team.
• Actively participate in the Layered Process Audit to resolve issues.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with the Quality System and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support Operations employees by providing guidance on specifications and problem-solving.
• Present project updates utilizing the A3 project management process/format.
• Engage with internal and external customers to address quality concerns.
• Collaborate with Group Leaders, Team Leaders, and Engineering to identify and resolve product quality problems.
• Regularly review and update specifications, Standard Operating Sheets (SOS), and other relevant documentation.
• Conduct on-site visits to customer locations as necessary.
• Deliver training and coaching on quality-related matters to production associates and management.
• Develop, modify, and finalize Standard Operating Sheets (SOS).
• Lead or participate in Kaizen improvement events.
• Contribute to the analysis of customer complaints.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven ability to proactively initiate, lead, and engage in problem-solving activities.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for fulfilling assigned responsibilities.
• Proficiency in applying and interpreting statistical data.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Prior experience in Manufacturing Quality Engineering.
• Capable of delivering candid feedback and reporting non-compliance findings to the Ferdinand Quality System.
• Excellent team player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year
