Job Description
We are working with a client in Florida and they are looking for a temporary to hire Vendor Manager for their Contingent Labor Services. This role is remote but candidates must reside in eastern or central time zones. The temporary period is estimated to last at least 3-4 months before becoming a permanent employee. This role will focus mainly on account management by setting up contracts, negotiating rates/markups, managing vendors/talent partners, KPI management, gathering data from their VMS, set up agencies as needed and setting up new markets. Right now, they have about 300-400 sites that use warehouse temporary labor. This person will spend the majority of their time managing vendors that assist with their staffing needs.


Responsibilities


Vendor Manager for Contingent Labor Services will be responsible assisting in the management of the procurement process for Temporary staffing needs:


  • Calculate, track and record monthly savings to assess relative performance to target
  • Assist in the Design RFPs/ RFQs events as needed to meet project needs
  • Research internal business need and market trends to recommend sourcing strategy for assigned category
  • Present recommendation to management and senior leadership and execute overall sourcing plan
  • Review supplier proposals, including the underlying financial model to develop spend and/or saving targets
  • The role will involve assisting in the sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and managing contracts with staffing agencies to ensure the availability of qualified and skilled temporary and contract labor
  • Use data analytics to provide insights and make informed decisions about staffing strategies
  • Generate and analyze reports on staffing costs, trends, and performance metrics
  • The Vendor Manager will work closely with the operations teams to determine if staffing needs are being met, monitor performance metrics to optimize staffing cost and efficiency


Collaborate with cross-functions to resolve supply or performance issues, review and influence recovery plans both internally and with suppliers.


  • Conduct periodic performance reviews of staffing agencies
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Assist in other sourcing activities, as needed
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs
  • Review and negotiate staffing contracts and agreements
  • Monitor market trends and conditions to ensure that contract portfolio is benchmarked appropriately
  • Engage suppliers to meet business needs and drive improvements in quality, capacity, capability, and cost


Qualifications


  • Contracting Process data/ranges; applicant's skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or Certifications, etc.
  • H.S. Diploma/GED
  • Understanding of sourcing processes and events intermediate required
  • Two (2) years or more Purchasing, Sourcing or Supply Management plus Bachelors Degree
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws and regulations in staffing processes
  • Creative thinking, constructive, positive attitude
  • Seven (7) years or more Purchasing of Contingent Labor Services and management of providers plus H.S. Diploma
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and manage suppliers
  • Concise and pro-active communication skills with ability to lead indirectly
  • Strong sense of urgency, organizational, follow-up, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Team oriented and comfortable working with cross functional teams
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) advanced required
