Job Description

HSL Asset Management, LLC is continuing to grow! We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Human Resources Generalist!


The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, offboarding, benefits, billing, and leave management, and enforcing company policies and practices. The Human Resources Generalist will also support areas such as employment law compliance, audits, and work closely with senior management for all HR functions.


Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR credential is preferred
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in Human Resources or combination of experience and education.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Experience working with ADP Workforce Now is preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 401K and payroll processing experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including biweekly to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, and benefits changes.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Performs tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management, and payroll.
  • Responsible for benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and benefit support.
  • Responsible for human resources processes and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; maintains the HSL Employee Handbook.
  • Supports in recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Handle all tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance.
