Job Description

Recruiting/Hiring/Onboarding:


  • The HR Generalist is responsible for recruiting, prescreening, and full-cycle recruiting for all positions. This includes the sourcing of candidates. Job postings, coordination of the recruitment process, updating job descriptions, managing the applicant tracking system, screening, coordinating interviews, and participating in interviews. In collaboration with the VP of HR, EOC, and key stakeholders, this position will continuously improve the recruiting and selection process with an EDI lens to match the organization's values and mission impact.
  • Employee Engagement
  • Is the primary contact for leave management, including FMLA, Paid Parental Leave, and non-FMLA Leave.
  • In partnership with key stakeholders and EDI, create, administer, monitor, and implement employee engagement program(s) with EDI in mind that focuses on staff retention, recognition, and satisfaction:
  • HR Dashboard Reporting.

  • HRIS Implementation.
  • Will partner with VP of HR to develop and implement an effective, collaborative, performance management system that is practical to administer, track, allows for two-way feedback, and is tied to employee development and succession planning.
  • Auditing & Compliance, including accreditation.

  • Performance Management
  • Tracks and monitors employee complaints to ensure adequate documentation, partnership, collaboration with EDI, follow-up, and resolution of employee concerns. Will be responsible for assisting in the prevention and resolution of employee concerns, as well as regular tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor and support effective employee relations activity and provide coaching to managers on effective practices. Serves as a secondary internal consultant to manage as advisor/mediator in employee situations as necessary, per the VP of HR.


Education Requirements:

  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of HR areas, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, benefits, employment law, policy development, compensation, benefits, employee relations, leave management, unemployment, and worker’s compensation.
  • Experience implementing a new HRIS system.
  • SPHR certification a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in ADP and Workday is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with payroll processing.
  • Associate degree or its equivalent with 5+ years of strong HR Generalist and administrative experience required. Prefer 8+ years.


Hybrid position: 2 remotes 3 in-house.

Salary: $64K-$69K per year.
