Pay Range: $24.00-$31.00 Per Hour Depending on Experience
Summary of Job: The HR Generalist has primary responsibility for the centralized transactional processes for new hires starting at the point the offer is made, including all employee onboarding activities required to prepare for the employees' first day. This position will collaborate directly with employees and front-line leaders to coordinate the day-to-day delivery of HR administrative & operational support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews all new hire documentation, confirming that all licensing, certifying, and regulatory documents have been provided and can be tracked within the HRIS.
- Participates on committees and in special projects as needed.
- Acts as a first point of contact for employee questions and escalates as needed.
- Takes a proactive customer-service approach to addressing employee inquiries, ensuring responses are timely and efficient to needs.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Reviews, approves, and processes all employee life cycle transactions in the HRIS ensuring data integrity is maintained at all times.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all RI International policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Submits new-employee background checks and escalates results for review as indicated.
- Welcomes newly hired employees through our onboarding journey, managing the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a great experience for new employees and a smooth start into their roles.
- Crafts and sends comprehensive communications to new hires with information related to the onboarding process.
- Conducts New Employee Celebration and manages the HR content for onboarding training.
- Recommends new approaches, modifications or changes to our life cycle processes that will improve the experience, efficiency and/or effectiveness and assists in writing SOPs for each process
- Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
Job Requirements:

- Minimum of one (1) year experience working with a HRIS.
- In-depth knowledge of HR compliance standards and regulations.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Human Resources.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required. HR certification(s) and years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with highly confidential topics.
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience leveraging the full Microsoft Office Suite for trainings and presentations.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification preferred.
- Ability to engage and collaborate with team members and stakeholders at different levels.
- Ability to travel to travel out of state.
- Proactive customer-service approach, ensuring responses are quick and efficient to needs.
Driving Requirements:
- If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed.
- If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in RI International driving policy.
Physical Demands:
May include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision; use of auditory senses. May be required to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
Work Environment
Office environment with moderate noise. Travels out of state approximately 10% of the time.
