Position Overview:

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist who will have both administrative and strategic HR responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions such as Recruiting, HRIS management, benefits and leave administration, assistance with performance management, and compensation planning. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and working with other members of our operational team to create and promote an exceptional employee experience through relationship building, providing constant support to our people, while fostering a positive work culture.


Primary Responsibilities:

Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Management: Assist with the administration within the firm’s Human Resources Information System, TriNet.

  • Establish, maintain, and audit confidential HR files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and maintain HR-related reports within TriNet including headcount, turnover, employee demographics, and employee benefits reports.
  • Process all HR transactions within TriNet, including new hire enrollment, benefits enrollment, employee status changes, leaves of absence, PTO, and terminations.


Payroll and Benefits Coordination: Assist the Director of Human Resources with benefits administration and with the accurate processing of the US and international payroll.

  • Manage payroll change spreadsheet ensuring all employee changes are recorded for accurate payroll processing.
  • Assist with the coordination of the annual open enrollment process. Work in collaboration with the benefits broker to create, review, and update plan summaries, communication materials, open enrollment materials, and benefits presentations.
  • Assist with the administration of benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and leave programs, as well as the 401k retirement plan.


Leave Administration: Responsible for the administration of employee leave of absence requests.

  • Ensure leave administration complies with all regulatory needs including FMLA, ADA, ACA, and COBRA, by staying up to date on regulatory changes to ensure proper administration.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding their individual “leave” needs. Maintain tracking system for all employee leaves.


Recruiting: Provide day-to-day recruitment support to the Recruiting Manager and various department leaders.

  • Coordinate the background check process.
  • Assist with drafting job descriptions, posting positions externally, and sourcing qualified candidates.
  • Assist with follow-up correspondence with candidates regarding the status of the recruiting process.
  • Coordinate the interview process, including scheduling in-person and video interviews.


Onboarding/Offboarding: In connection with the Director of Human Resources and the Operations Manager, adapt the process to provide an engaging and effective onboarding experience.

  • Facilitate offboarding process by scheduling exit interviews, compiling exit packets, and offboarding from relevant systems and programs as desired.
  • Assist with the presentation of the new hire orientation including, firm-overview, benefits information, explanation of the onboarding process, and next steps.
  • Work with the operations team to coordinate onboarding activities, including scheduling, preparing employee new hire packets, and TriNet new hire data entry.


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR; professional service environment preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • High personal standards of excellence, commitment, and integrity while respecting confidentiality.
  • Experience providing support in the following areas: recruiting, payroll, and benefits, leave administration, HRIS management, employee relations, and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with leadership and team members of all levels.
