Summary

Provides leadership and support to the Global Rewards Center of Excellence (COE) leadership team for the US Benefits Program.

Detailed Description

  • Manage external Benefits/Pension vendor provider relationships. Ensures ongoing service levels are maintained and accurate payroll data feeds to vendors.
  • Complete any audit requirements in conjunction with Finance or external auditors as required.
  • Resolve employee queries and resolves escalated Benefits & Pension issues. Operate as a subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues.
  • Provide Benefits/Pension orientation to new hires, HR Business Partners, Managers and Executives as required.
  • Oversee the administration of all of Celestica’s US Benefits and Pension/401K plans in accordance with plan rules and federal/state regulations.
  • Co-ordinate the administration process for employee terminations, deaths and retirements.
  • Provide expertise and support to the HR Benefits Manager and HR Global Rewards team in administering the US Benefits Program for Celestica’s US based employees.
  • Support restructuring process for US sites including: severance estimates, preparation and delivery of termination letters, issuance of manual checks where required.
  • Support the annual US Benefits Enrollment process. Prepare and deliver communications, timelines, etc. to managers and employees.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Able to present and communicate ideas and facts in a clear and articulate manner
  • Able to effectively work with a wide variety of customers, cross-functional collaborations, as well as leveraging external vendors/partners.
  • Strong analytical, data modelling skills and experience. Ability to work with and synthesize large volumes of financial data with a very high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management and organization skills. Able to evaluate, manage and prioritize multiple highly complex and detailed tasks and projects at any given time.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to empathize and respond to employee queries is a timely and effective manner.
  • Working knowledge of HR compensation and benefits programs, policies and practices.
  • Able to manage sensitive employee information in a confidential manner.
  • Strong expertise and knowledge of the US Benefits landscape including: Benefit Plan design and offerings (ie. Medical, dental, insurance, etc), Pension Plans, Disability Management, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in the following applications: Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Typical Experience

  • Two to Four years relevant experience

Typical Education

  • Experience managing global mobility programs an asset.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a US Benefits Program role.
