Job Description
We are looking for an HR Specialist to join our Specialty Chemical client located in Westlake, LA. This is a temporary role with expected duration of 12 months.


HR Specialist


  • Maintain active and appropriate communication with facility and regional management, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, andother stakeholders as needed.
  • Under direct supervision, coordination of time entries such as missing punches, accrual entries and special pays.
  • Prepare employee-facing communication materials including time / open enrollment communications, manager and employee level training, etc.
  • Working closing with staff on resolving questions they have on both timesheet and health coverage.
  • Audit, review, and reconcile timesheet reports.
  • Ensure that all HR Operations processes meet departmental and organizational goals in accordance with all federal guidelines andregulations.


Qualifications


HR Specialist Job Requirements:


  • Proficiency in MS Office products required, including intermediate or higher Excel, Word, & Power Point.
  • Previous HR Specialist experience including knowledge of employee benefits and laws preferred.
  • ADP Workforce Now Time and Attendance experience required.
  • Position requires fluency in English, written and oral communication.
  • Minimum of one year’s professional timekeeping experience using ADP Payroll required.
  • Union experience a PLUS.
  • Candidates should be within daily commuting distance of Westlake, LA to be considered.
