Summary
The Human Resources Specialist works with the Benefits and Operations team to perform transactional functions in the benefit and HRIS systems, as well as answering general benefit and employment questions. This will be a hybrid position: in office 2 days a week in Charleston, SC and remote 3 days a week.Entity

Through the OurDay Sustainment Department, MUSC has created the OurDay Center of Excellence Team. The OurDay Center of Excellence Team plays a significant role in ensuring the maximum value of the MUSC Workday Benefits solution. This team will consist of 3 full time HR specialists who will provide administrative Benefit support. Beginning in early October 2022, MUHA and University insurance eligible employees are eligible to make benefit elections in Workday, MUSC’s new Human Resources Information System. Once an employee makes elections in Workday, the OurDay HR Specialists will be responsible for transferring the insurance enrollment information over to the Public Employee Benefit System (PEBA)’s online insurance system. This department is vital as PEBA’s system provides enrollment information to the insurance carriers to activate coverage.
