Job Description
Provide support in various areas of Human Resources and within the company including but not limited to recruitment, employment, labor relations, compensation, benefits administration, retirement administration, employee services, training and employee health.
  • Assist personnel (both internal and external) by answering questions, supplying information and training as necessary.
  • Provide technical support to teammates in the department.
  • Aid in the development, maintenance and production of monthly, quarterly or annual reports as required.
  • Assist in developing information to support Human Resources policies and procedures in daily dealings with individuals and/or departments in the corporation.
  • Resolve employee and management inquiries with limited supervision abiding by all corporate and employee policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Previous experience working within a Union Environment is preferred
  • Prepare information for internal and external audits and market surveys as necessary.
  • Participate in work groups composed of various areas in the corporation to complete projects and/or tasks.
  • Assist in departmental activities that include, but are not limited to data analysis, maintenance of records and documentation of procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot charts, tables, analyzing data)

Qualifications

  • Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems (i.e., Excel, Word).
  • Working knowledge of applicable Human Resources laws (i.e., ERISA, FLSA, OHSA, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem resolution, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Human Resources Management or related areapreferred.
  • Three (3) years experience within the Human Resources environment or related experience.
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and within established deadlines.
  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.
