As a remote HR Generalist, you will play a vital role in our hybrid company, ensuring our compliance with employment laws while supporting our incredible team spread across 23 states. Key Responsibilities
Empowering Payroll and Compliance:
Manage the full-cycle payroll process, accurately handling payroll, bonuses, commissions, tax payments, insurance deductions, and more.
Drive compliance initiatives, keeping us up to date with local, state, and federal requirements, including leave laws, paid sick time, taxes, and more.
Collaborate with the HR and Legal teams to ensure adherence to FMLA, ADA, EEO/Affirmative Action, Workers' Compensation, and other employment laws.
Strategic Compensation And Benefits Support
Partner with the HR team to develop and maintain equitable compensation policies and benchmarks, ensuring competitiveness and fairness.
Implement employee benefit strategies and initiatives, utilizing your technical knowledge of group insurance plans, compliance requirements, and reporting.
HR Administration And Support
Administer and track leaves of absence, such as short-term disability, FMLA, and state-specific requirements.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regularly reviewing policies and recommending best practices.
Manage essential HR programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave, with a focus on accurate reporting and record-keeping.
Analyze HR data, providing data-driven recommendations for process improvements and supporting company scorecard development.
Employee Relations And Development
Serve as an HR business partner, offering expertise in terminations, compensation planning, and employee relations investigations.
Collaborate on HR projects, including presentations and ad-hoc assignments, showcasing your strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
Qualifications
You share our Vision and Core Values, demonstrating a passion for people and making a positive impact.
You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing payroll, benefits, and compliance matters.
A bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is required, along with a PHR/SHRM certificate (or equivalent).
Your understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws, as well as reporting requirements, is solid.
Experience with HRIS systems for benefits and compensation administration is essential, while proficiency in G-Suite and Excel is expected.
You exhibit sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and operate with integrity in accordance with standards and regulations.
Knowledge of benefits, COBRA administration, 401(k) processing, and leave of absences is valuable.
Strong data management and analysis skills are a must, and familiarity with record retention best practices is desired.
You are a self-motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
The ability to adapt to changing processes and procedures is essential, as is a willingness to learn and take initiative.
Residency in the Eastern or Central Time Zone is required.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Rippling and CompAnalyst is a plus.
Experience working in a company that operates on EOS is advantageous.
Remote working experience and exposure to global workforce dynamics are valued.
Location: This is a work-from-home position with occasional travel to SE Michigan for collaborative meetings.
