SEEKING A DRIVEN, APPROACHABLE, AND TARGET-DRIVEN HR GENERALIST / RECRUITER!
- Responsible for onboarding and orientating all new hires.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Responsible for all HR aspects of opening offices in different states as needed.
- May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments (i.e., safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications).
- May assist with documentation review and attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates hiring qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills, duties, competencies, and other related data required for openings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Responsible for hosting and attending job fairs, college career fairs, and technical schools to obtain and recruit talent.
- Responsible for candidate evaluation, selection, and placement by conducting research or follow-up activities and conferring with management and supervisory personnel.
- Keeps records of applicants not selected for employment.
- Reviews job requests, sources, recruits, matches, screens, and interviews applicants against the required job requirements, utilizing an applicant tracking system or actively searching for qualified applicants.
- Verifies employment applications and examines work history, education and training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications of applicants.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred.
- 2+ years of human resource and office management experience is preferred.
- APHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP is a plus.
- Experience with Taleo, JazzHR, or similar ATS systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, One Drive, Team
- 1+ years experience recruiting is required (in the construction industry is preferred).
