Summary Of Position


The HR Generalist supports and helps ePac embrace its growth. With a passion for strategic continuous improvement, this role will be responsible for supporting streamlined people processes. This is a two-fold role, focused first on the execution of day-to-day tactical people operations but always asking how we can operate better, developing solutions as those questions are answered. The position will be responsible for carrying out and creating HR programs, processes, policies and procedures; including duties related to culture enhancement, HRIS life-cycle updates, recruiting, payroll processing, recordkeeping, employee file maintenance, and compliance with state and federal employment laws.


Pay ranges from $60K + depending on skills and experience.


Essential Functions And Responsibilities
  • Administration and Compliance:
  • Acts as payroll backup (as needed)
  • HR Operations
  • Partners with HRBPs on LOAs - FMLA, Short term disability processing and tracking
  • Partners with our Talent Acquisition Specialist with non-exempt sourcing and recruiting.
  • Responsible for the entire onboarding process which includes generating offer letters, new hire documents, administering background checks, sending welcome kits, adding new hires into ADP Workforce Now, administering Form I-9s all while maintaining compliance
  • Oversees safety compliance within the plants including accident investigation support and implementation of best practices to ensure safe work environment
  • Partners with Administrative and Records Coordinator, as needed for standardized Document Management best practices related to HR document retention
  • Track and ensure completion of performance reviews and merit increase process
  • Streamlines HR processes by suggesting new ideas for automation and integration, including researching, partnering, and executing with the HR team as it relates to form optimization, information flow, etc.
  • Work with Payroll to ensure state and local tax compliance
  • Manage and streamline employee personnel files, including standard naming convention and retention
  • Stay abreast of major changes in muti-state employment laws and make recommendations to HR team for actions needed
  • Develop standardized reports in HRIS systems to track overall HR analytics and identify trends/opportunities for HR action planning
  • Support any other special projects, as needed
  • Partners with the Payroll and Benefits team with administering and streamlining the New Hire Process, Onboarding programs, change of status updates and Open Enrollment.
  • Onboarding:
  • Responsible for employment law poster program and ensuring all sites have up to date information
  • Maintain OSHA 300 / 301 logs; respond to worker’s compensation claim adjusters’ request for information
  • Responsible for EEO reporting, employment verifications - setting up and being the point contact for the Work Number partnership, medical support notices, garnishments requests, unemployment claims etc.
  • Conduct new hire orientation on a weekly basis, responsible for creating, updating and distributing materials to employees

Experience And Education


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, preferred
  • Experience working with ADP Workforce Now, preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR role, focused on people operations systems, preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, required; Experience with Google Suite, preferredAbility to maintain strict confidentiality regarding compensation, benefits, employee issues, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience providing outstanding customer support


WORK ENVIRONMENT


  • Travel to facilities may be required occasionally (less than 10%.)
  • Schedule may demand flexible hours outside of normal business day
