Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The team member in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. The Human Resources Generalist is also responsible for sourcing, recruiting, reviewing staffing levels, as well as interviewing and screening candidates. The HR Generalist is also responsible for the onboarding process, assisting with employee relations issues/events and general office administrative tasks, leave administration, benefits, other HR related tasks and ensuring all team members’ training is in compliance.

  • Interact with all guests and team members to positively influence the guest and team member experience. Demonstrate resiliency when faced with difficult situations under all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.

  • Manage the on-site employment activities including application and pre-screening process and orientation processes.

  • Recruit team members using a variety of sources including, but not limited to, media of all varieties, career fairs, and community resources.

  • Network with industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees.

  • Review and track applications and assist applicants with computer applications.

  • Prepare and complete all necessary paperwork for interviews, including letters of rejection to interviewed applicants not selected for position
  • Create offer letters and reference checks for salaried employees
  • Process and review background checks
  • Conduct Panel Interviews for all positions

  • Perform duties assisting with the hiring process
    • Scheduling salaried applicants for interviews and interviewing hourly positions as needed
    • Prepare and complete all necessary paperwork for interviews, including letters of rejection to interviewed applicants not selected for position
    • Ensure required testing have been completed
    • Process and review background checks
    • Create offer letters and reference checks for salaried employees
    • Conduct Panel Interviews for all positions
  • Ensure required testing have been completed

  • Respond to requests for information via phone or email and send notices to applicants regarding application status.

  • Organizes and facilitates New Hire Orientation.

  • Ensures all team members are current with any required training, including, but not limited to alcohol certification, responsible gaming and harassment.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information for all employees. This includes filing paperwork in appropriate files.

  • Create and send letters to employees as needed.

  • Work with other team members to help schedule and enroll them in benefits as well as perform any other benefit related aspects.

  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental and Company policies in an ethical manner and require others to do the same.

  • Handle routine customer/employee complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to define situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel. Seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive relationships.

  • Ensures the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism in the performance of their duties.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information for all employees. This includes updating HRIS database from documents such as Personnel Action Notices, Performance Documents, Evaluations, and all other related documents.

  • Update HR communication sources including but not limited to bulletin boards and employee channel.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
