Since 1995, the CDC Foundation has raised over $1.9 billion and launched more than 1,300 programs impacting a variety of health threats from chronic disease conditions including cardiovascular disease and cancer, to infectious diseases like rotavirus and HIV, to emergency responses, including COVID-19 and Ebola. The CDC Foundation seeks an energetic, people-focused, HR Generalist to help coordinate HR activities and assist with the smooth operation of the HR function for CDC Foundation. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and supports the overall objectives of the department.


Minimum Qualifications


  • BSc/BA in Business administration or relevant field
  • 5 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or Business Partner managing complex Employee Relations issue
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. ADP) will be a plus
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner
  • Extensive knowledge of employment/labor laws and labor standards
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
Responsibilities


  • Provide support as point of contact for CDC Foundation business units
  • Assist in implementation of human resource policies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Undertake tasks around employee relations
  • Provide support to employees on various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation, policies and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly
