Job Details


** This is an in-office position Monday through Friday **


The HR Generalist Benefit Specialist's responsibilities will include benefits administration, new hire and termination processing, employee relations, and recruiting plus you will assist with other HR-related duties as needed.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Ensuring accurate completion of all new hire documents
  • Develop partnerships with managers
  • Assists with Employee Relations activities and Performance Management
  • Ensure quality and timely response benefit needs
  • Assists with time and attendance processing and processing of payroll
  • Assist Office Management Staff as needed.
  • Ability to collaborate in Employee Relations matters
  • Benefits Administration including Insurance Invoice Reconciliation, Open Enrollment Coordination, Leaves of Absence, and responding to Unemployment Insurance Audits and Claims.
  • Assists with compliance, reporting, and file maintenance plus other duties as assigned
  • In accordance with our company policies and state/federal requirements, create and maintain our employee file records
  • Assist with processing new hires in our system in accordance with HR processes
  • Assist employees with HR-related activities
  • Update job descriptions and requirements to attract the best-qualified candidates for our recruiting needs
  • Assist with the Exit Interview process and process employment terminations


Skills And Knowledge


  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Become proficient in our policies and procedures.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Must be a team player and work collaboratively
  • Knowledge of leave of absence regulations, harassment, and discrimination prevention
  • Required At All Times - Must be able to work with confidential information with very strict discretion and integrity.
  • General knowledge of employment law
  • Assist employees and managers through employee relations issues and performance management.
  • Become proficient with our benefit programs, payroll system, ATS, and job descriptions
  • Experience recruiting and sourcing candidates using online, social media, and headhunting skills
  • Knowledge of Benefit enrollment processes
  • Excellent communication skills


Required Education And Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience in a Generalist role
  • HR Certification through SHRM or HRCI preferred.
  • 2 years of experience with HR, Benefits, Payroll, Performance, Employee Engagement, and Succession Planning
  • Experience with Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, and Benefits Administration
  • Using Ceridian Dayforce HRIS is a strong plus
  • Must be able to work 100% in our office
  • Proficiency WITH MS Office programs
  • Proficiency with utilizing online resources for recruiting and onboarding
