The Communication Specialist position is primarily responsible for the execution of social media strategies and campaigns, and maintenance and distribution of key communication information to support company initiatives and branding. This position requires versatility to manage multiple projects and meet rigorous deadlines. This position requires a self-starter that is extremely organized, as well as possess the professional skill-set/experience to be able to work within many functions of the Human Resources Department – Content Writers, Special Events, Public Relations, Research and Web.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
• Ensure all communication materials meet company standards and explore new ways to support business units and engage employees.
• Execute and build communications strategies and internal client specific projects for business unit activities or specific key business project initiatives.
• Assist HR Team in joint email, website and social media campaigns that support company objectives.
• Coordinate social media campaigns utilizing Facebook, LinkedIn and other social media sites to support Heath’s image and increase brand recognition to all potential and existing customers, distributors and employees.
• Find, curate and write social content supporting department key initiatives.
• Design, update and maintain HR internal Company Intranet and Yammer.
• Communicate and work with internal and external customers to support a professional environment that promotes Heath’s core values.
• Create clear social media goals across all platforms and consistently analyze and track results to keep marketing partners and management aware of progress.
• Plan, create, implement and measure new marketing ideas and communications projects for business and customers.
• Coordinate public relations and marketing communications efforts including social media and content marketing.
• Create reports of social media activity and constantly work to strategically adjust program to increase effectiveness.
• Maintain production schedule and calendar of upcoming events for communication activities and projects.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

· Proven experience as communications specialist

· Experience in content writing and social media experience

· Working knowledge of MS Office; photo and video-editing software is an asset

· Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills

· Bachelor’s Degree, preferred major communications or marketing
