Job Description

We are looking for an Internal Communications Specialist (part-time) for our healthcare client to support their HR team. The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for playing a crucial role in fostering transparent and effective communication within the organization, ensuring that employees are well-informed, engaged, and aligned with our company's mission and values. Your expertise will help us strengthen our internal communication strategies, enhance employee engagement, and contribute to a positive work culture.


This is a remote contract position through the end of the year with an estimate of 15 hours per week. Candidates must reside in OR, WA, CA, or TX to be considered.


As an Internal Communications Specialist, you will:

  • Support the planning and execution of HR events, such as town halls, webinars, workshops, and employee engagement activities, ensuring consistent messaging and a positive employee experience.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in internal communications, bringing innovative ideas and strategies to continually enhance our communication efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR team and cross-functional teams to identify communication needs, key messages, and target audiences, ensuring consistent and effective messaging.
  • Proactively gather information from various HR functions and departments to identify opportunities for improved communication and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with the HR team in building and managing the weekly comms in Sharepoint.
  • Create engaging and informative content, including monthly newsletters creation, email campaigns, and other communication materials, to share important internal employee relations updates, initiatives, policies, and practices.

Who we’re searching for:

  • Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and processes is preferred.
  • Creative thinking and a passion for finding innovative ways to engage employees and improve communication effectiveness.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools and other platforms such as MS Dynamics, Avature, and Sharepoint.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive and adaptable attitude, with a commitment to promoting a positive work culture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.
  • Strong process improvement skills with th ability to organize thoughts and build new processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Salary / Pay range:

  • $30-$37/ hour, depending on experience
