Position Overview:


The HR Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR department, assisting in managing the HR comms calendar, HR budget, support recruitment coordination and maintaining employee records. The successful candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong attention to detail. You will serve as an advisor to colleagues due to their comprehensive knowledge and skills in their area and understanding of the department and the larger organization.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Partner with key departments such as office services, security, and IT to collaborate, acquire information, problem solve, and achieve desired results.
  • Schedules department meetings and events.
  • Maintains department email distribution and phone lists.
  • Coordinates, plans and directs services which support the running of the HR department.
  • Proactively provide new, creative solutions to business challenges – while also building on existing processes and methods.
  • Answer employee inquiries and provide assistance on HR-related matters.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and off-boarding
  • Perform various administrative tasks, duties, and activities in support of the HR department
  • Ensures HR departmental administrative operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • May provide administrative support to HR department executive(s).
  • Collates, maintains, and processes expenses.


What you will need:


  • Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • 3+ years experience as an Administrative Assistant or providing administrative support to executive leadership within a HR department preferred
  • Demonstrated planning and organizing skills.
  • Demonstrated administrative experience with an ability to carry out all office functions proficiently, and to complete quality work on a timely basis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, especially PowerPoint, Teams, Word, MS Office and other features.
  • Excellent judgment as well as the ability to work with confidential documents and information.


In New York City, the base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $40,000 to $85,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
