Housekeeping/ Daycare Aide Jobs

Position Summary:The person is position will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment of the daycare facility.Essential Job Functions:

• Remove hazards to create a safe environment for children.
• Perform housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, dish washing, changing of linens and cleaning duties related to children's care.
• Maintain a safe play environment.
• Sanitize toys and play equipment.
• Assist in preparing food and serving meals and refreshments to children.
• Observe and monitor children's play activities.
• Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
• Model appropriate social behaviors and encourage concern for others to cultivate development of interpersonal relationships and communication skills.
• Clean classrooms.
• Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas.
• Keep records of play and meal schedules
• Participate in recreational activities and outings, such as games and field trips.

Essential Qualifications:Certifications/Licensures:

• CPR Certification, First Aid Certification and an annual Tuberculosis test.
• Valid drivers license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCares vehicle insurance is required.

Education:

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) is required.

Experience and Competencies:

• Bilingual is preferred
• General knowledge of housekeeping procedures is required.
