The role you’ll contribute:
Supports rehab therapy care delivery by preparing and assisting in treatment area, patients, equipment, and materials.
- Performs therapeutic procedures under the supervision of a licensed therapist
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Attends department meetings and education as required
- Willingly adjusts and adapts to changes in workload by altering working hours to assist in other areas/centers/programs as approved and observed by supervisor/manager
- As requested perform clerical duties, such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering telephone, taking messages, and filling out forms
- Anticipates needs and assists staff with patient care, treatment and other tasks by correctly and promptly carrying out assigned activities/duties. Ensures patient and staff safety by recognizing situations which place patient or staff at risk and responds appropriately
- Communicate appropriately and effectively with patients, family and health care professionals within and across care settings and communities
- Maintains safe and clean working environments, Ensures supplies are stocked and equipment is maintained, while adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations
- Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols
Qualifications - External
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Takes responsibility for decisions, actions and results, and delivers on commitments
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Demonstrates patient/customer focused, compassionate behavior
- Cooperates and collaborates with team members and others
- Demonstrates effective communication skills with all team members, patients/customers and families
- Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
- Demonstrates compliance with all federal, state and local laws; rules and government
- Complies with the Corporate Institutional Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines
- Conducts themselves in a calm and collected manner at all times
