Job Description

The hourly wage offered for this position is $23.01- $32.21.:

This position is a hybrid role.:

Rebound is the largest orthopedic and neurosurgical practice in the Portland-Vancouver area with an array of sub-specialties including orthopedics, brain and spine care, sports medicine, physiatry, and physical therapy. We are looking for a full time Help Desk Technician to join our amazing IT Team. The Helpdesk Technician’s role is to provide technical and troubleshooting support to staff in need of assistance with computer and software issues, new user deployment, and some systems administration tasks. This includes supporting our employee base on Windows, Office 365 and other enterprise apps, common user hardware and ensuring our on-premises employees and resources are supported. The Helpdesk Technician is also responsible for various tasks including assisting with the inventory of assets, user account auditing, imaging and deploying new workstations, recycling old equipment, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and user documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Build rapport and demonstrate excellent customer service to employee, and external, customers.
  • Coordinate, setup, and maintain usernames and passwords for employees. Ensure that existing and transferred employees are updated appropriately.
  • Perform preventative maintenance including checking and cleaning of workstations, conference room setups, exam room devices, and peripherals.
  • Record, track, and document the problem-solving process including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made and actions taken, as well as writing and updating Knowledge Base articles and recommending process changes for the user experience.
  • Establish and maintain detailed knowledge of the functionality, clinical content and use of clinical applications.

  • Perform functional systems application administration including the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various business systems applications.
  • Support the infrastructure team by performing hands-on fixes on site or with user workstations.
  • Participate in rotating On Call after hours support program.
  • Perform related work as required.
  • Field incoming problem reports from end users via telephone, email, and helpdesk requests in a courteous and timely manner to resolve application and software issues.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and abide by all HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
  • Communicate application problems and issues to the I.T. Team.
  • Prioritize and schedule resolution of problems. Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced next level technician.

Required:
  • Excellent people skills, professionalism and experience with new and non-technical end users. :
  • A+ Certification (not required).
  • Experience providing training and end user support in a similarly-sized practice.
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
  • Experience with at least one electronic medical record, preferably NextGen EMR/EPM.
  • Ability to conduct research into and resolve a wide range of computing issues.
  • Experience installing and maintaining computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, copiers, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Ability to explain technical topics clearly and simply in a user friendly language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to resolve problems that frequently require skill and ingenuity. :
  • Ability to work well as part of a team or leader of a team. :
  • Ability to support users with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 2 years of applicable IT work experience, or equivalent, preferred.
  • Two year college degree in a computer related course of study or 2 years of applicable IT work experience.
  • Highly self motivated and directed. :
  • Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including current Windows workstations.
  • Basic knowledge of computer networks and systems. :
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with patient and clinic data. :
