Help Desk Support Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Help Desk Support Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving solutions to our employees and clients.


Key Responsibilities:

·User Support: Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Assist users with software and hardware-related issues, login problems, application errors, and general IT inquiries.

·Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical problems using appropriate tools and resources. Escalate complex issues to higher-level support or relevant IT teams when necessary, ensuring prompt and accurate problem resolution.

·Documentation: Maintain accurate records of user interactions, technical issues, and problem-solving steps in the ticketing system. Create and update knowledge base articles to facilitate self-service resolution for common issues.

·Hardware and Software Setup: Assist with the installation, configuration, and deployment of computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices. Provide guidance on software usage and best practices.

·Security and Compliance: Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies, including user access controls, password management, and data protection measures.

·Hardware Inventory: Maintain an organized inventory of IT equipment, track hardware assets, and facilitate equipment procurement and disposal processes.

·Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network administrators, system analysts, and application developers, to address technical challenges and improve overall system performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

·High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or degree in Information Technology is a plus.

·Proven experience as a Help Desk Support Specialist or similar role.

·Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common software applications.

·Familiarity with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and ITIL practices.

·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.

·Problem-solving abilities with a patient and methodical approach to troubleshooting.

·Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols is desirable.

·Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

·Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Working Conditions:

This is a contractor position primarily based in an office environment 3 time per week in Fort Lauderdale.


**ONSITE POSITION**


Compensation:

$25/hr.
