We are seeking a Help Desk Specialist I to join our team supporting NARA NITTSS in College Park, MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Standard Windows desktop applications.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting network applications, hardware, software, PC, and printer problems.
  • E-mail.
  • Applications developed under this contract or predecessors.
  • Provide phone and in-person support to users in the following areas:
  • Directories.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:
  • B.S. /  B.A.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate orally and in writing and a positive customer service attitude.
  • Three (3) years of experience years of specialized experience, including knowledge of PC operating systems, networking, mail standards, and work on a help desk.

  • Relevant technical certification (such as a Security+, A+, Network+, CCNA, or GSEC)

*** OR ***

  • A.S. / A.A. Degree and 4 additional years’ experience

*** OR ***

  • 8 additional years directly related experience.
  • Clearance: Must be able to attain approval of Physical Access Suitability through a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.

  • Work schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday - Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
