Slip Robotics is a venture-backed robotics startup in Atlanta, GA that builds and deploys mobile robots for automated truck loading/unloading. 23% of a truck driver’s workday is typically wasted idling and waiting for their truck to be loaded/unloaded at a dock, while forklift drivers face constant pressure to quickly load/unload freight despite the high risks of damage and injury. SlipBots auto-load/unload all types of trucks in less than 5 minutes to increase safety, speed, and savings across the supply chain. Slip already serves multiple Fortune 500 customers in 24/7 production manufacturing and logistics operations, and we're looking for motivated people to join our team to help fuel our growth.

Slip Robotics is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team and drive our sales efforts. As a Sales Manager at Slip Robotics, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing sales strategies to promote and sell our autonomous mobile robots. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue growth, expanding our customer base, and exceeding sales targets. You will work closely with prospects and customers in the manufacturing, transportation, and logistics sectors, leveraging your expertise in selling and deploying mobile robotics and other advanced technologies. Responsibilities:


  • Identify, target, and close key customers in the transportation, manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics sectors
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and revenue objectives, and exceed sales targets and quotas
  • Maintain regular sales forecasts and reports to the management team
  • Drive the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with prospects, customers, and industry stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the product and applications engineering teams to provide customer feedback, support product enhancements, and enhance solution offerings for specific industry and customer types
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent Slip Robotics and network with potential customers
  • Own the sales pipeline and CRM system, and implement new systems and processes to enhance sales and team efficiency and performance


Requirements:


  • 5+ years of experience selling mobile robots and/or advanced technologies to customers in the manufacturing, transportation, warehousing, and/or logistics sectors
  • Deep experience and relationships in automotive manufacturing is a big plus
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts effectively and guide prospects to adopting new technologies and processes
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing material flow design and/or transportation operations is a big plus
  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRM systems
  • Willingness to travel ~50% of the time to meet with customers and prospects
  • Strong bias for action: Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to achieve results
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Excited to establish and build the sales function at a fast-growing startup
