Job Description

Role- Procurement Head

Duration- Full Time

Location- Charlotte, NC


  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies specific to IT procurement, considering the organization's goals and budgetary constraints.

2. Collaborate with IT stakeholders to understand their requirements and specifications for IT services, and solutions.

3. Identify and evaluate potential IT vendors and suppliers, conducting market research, and analyzing supplier capabilities, pricing, and terms.

4. Lead negotiations with IT vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

5. Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, including supplier selection, purchase order creation, order tracking, and expediting as necessary.

6. Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon service levels, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT vendors, fostering partnerships based on trust, collaboration, and mutual growth.

8. Conduct regular cost analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the IT procurement function.

9. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies relevant to IT procurement, proactively identifying potential risks and opportunities.

10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and legal, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with overall business objectives and compliance with internal policies and procedures.

11. Provide guidance and support to the procurement team, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the development of procurement best practices.



Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

· Proven experience in IT procurement or strategic sourcing, with a focus on technology products and services.

· Strong knowledge of IT industry trends, products, and services.

· Demonstrated experience in negotiating and contracting with IT vendors.

· Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

· Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
