Key Responsibilities:

Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Director of Packaging Procurement to support the Senior Director of North American Directs Procurement to ensure the company’s goals and initiatives are met.

This role will be responsible for the end-to-end development of the sourcing strategy (contracting, supply assurance, supplier quality) of $350 million of annual packaging spend in support of TBG’s North American businesses, and includes the leadership and development of a team of 2 high performing category buyers. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a candidate based in Bradenton, FL or Chicago, IL.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Demonstrated ability to implement short and long term strategies to support organizational operation and transformation
• Ability to structure and prioritize tasks, and focus efforts in an ambiguous work environment
• Oversee the execution of the packaging contracting strategy, development of new sourcing strategies, and an innovative productivity agenda
• Support the Sr Director of NA Procurement in the development and execution of the annual operating plan for the NA Directs Procurement team (annual spend of $1B)
• Define success criteria for 2 direct reports and support them in the development of the plans to deliver against the success criteria
• Tackle ambiguous problems to determine and prioritize business strategies
• Assist Chief Procurement Officer and peers on North American and European procurement teams in development of global sourcing strategies and best in class procurement execution

Professional Experience / Qualifications:

• Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
• Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
• Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
• Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity
• Experience procuring commodities: futures markets, hedging, forecasting
• Minimum 10 years of beverage packaging procurement leadership experience
• Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
• Bachelor’s Degree in business or similar academic major
• Ability to travel 25%
