Director Of Procurement Jobs

We are seeking a resourceful strategic sourcing director to develop and implement improved strategic sourcing policies. You will be creating cost estimates and forecasts, negotiating cost-effective contracts with key suppliers. This position has direct responsibility for the following specific activities; (1) Develop and implement category plans for materials and services, (2) review and address quality, service issues and resolution, (3) facilitate process improvement opportunities and (4) any/all other activities to meet cost reduction targets and optimize benefits.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Analyze and calculate procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies.
• Drive compliance to contracts and policies and procedures across the organization
• Negotiate contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality.
• Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to ensure mutually agreed terms and conditions are incorporated into final contract and executed by appropriate signatory.
• Develop category plans for all spend areas that capitalize on market opportunities and aligns with functional business requirements following the Company's sourcing process.
• Drive purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.
• Ensure that category strategies are highly aligned to current and future business needs (and overall category strategy) and that the supply base can support these strategies.
• Manage Request for Proposal or Information (RFP, RFI, RFx, eAuctions, etc.) processes related to all spend categories.
• Conducting market research, as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts.
• Manage all aspects of sourcing processes including tactical/spot opportunities, strategic eRFx’s, eAuctions, etc. for assigned categories.
• Build policies and procedures for reviewing supplier performance against contracted obligations/service levels and business expectations. Ensure suppliers meet performance targets for delivery, quality a service.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• 5-10 years of experience in supply chain and/or procurement
• Professional accreditation (CPSM or similar preferred).
• 5+ years’ experience managing procurement of contract manufacturing, preferably in a highly regulated industry (Food, Pharmaceuticals, Chemical, etc.), activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline. (Masters Preferred)
• 5+ of experience of management experience.
• Experience with GPOs.
