JOB SCOPE:

• Operate equipment to externally grind parts to required specifications, utilizing blueprints, processes, bills of material and measuring equipment to complete assigned tasks. Operations include: Gear Grinder; External Grinder; Centerless External Grinder; Surface Grinder; Grinder-Thread; Valve Seat Grinder (New Parts Only).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform assigned work in a safety conscious manner.
• Maintain equipment and tools used by the individual in a clean condition.
• Perform other duties inherently required of the job classification.
• Perform assigned cleaning required to maintain individual's immediate work area in a clean condition.
• Perform assigned work to specified quality and production standards.
• Prepare and/or maintain all documentation necessary to the duties of the job classification.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previously held a classification or a position demonstrating the ability to operate manufacturing machinery, or satisfactorily completed a company provided or outside training demonstrating some machine skills or equivalent to that required to operate manufacturing machinery.
• High School Diploma or GED
