Required

  • At least two terms teaching, grading, or tutoring experience.
  • Skill, experience & comfort with having &/or reading about the role of intersectional identities, personal histories & experiences with sexual health.
  • Demonstrable commitment and abilities related to DEI issues in university classrooms.
  • Experience within the field of Sexual Health as an advocate, volunteer, instructor, etc.
  • Earned Master’s degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred

  • Four terms teaching, grading, or tutoring a graduate level course.

Temp/Casual Grading Assistant (Not currently hiring UMN students)

About CCAPS
The College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) offers a suite of graduate credentials in Sexual Health in partnership with the Institute for Sexual and Gender Health at the University of Minnesota. The Master of Professional Studies in Sexual Health and graduate certificates in Human Sexuality, Sex Therapy, and Transgender and Gender Diverse Health are innovative, online programs providing adult learners throughout the country access to learn from leading experts in the field.

Duties/Responsibilities
CCAPS seeks Grading Assistants to provide assistance in grading and offering meaningful assignment feedback to students in Sexual Health and Human Sexuality (HSEX) courses. Duties may include grading assignments and final projects, engaging in discussion board conversations, offering writing support, and basic Canvas support around student questions. Grading Assistants will serve as part of the instructional team, which includes the course instructor of record, and other CCAPS graduate education staff to offer high quality instruction. This position reports to the Associate Director for Graduate Education.

This position offers a flexible work arrangement as a hybrid position.

The Grading Assistant is a temporary/casual position with an expectation of 12 hours of work per week for a 7-week HSEX course or 6 hours of work per week for a 14 week HSEX course. The payment for either 7 or 14 week HSEX courses is $25 per hour up to $2100.

Please note: Current students at the University of Minnesota and/or the MPS in Sexual Health, or certificates in Sex Therapy, Human Sexuality, or Transgender and Gender Diverse Health are not eligible for this role. However, graduates of the program who are no longer attending the U are encouraged to apply.
