Global Sourcing Manager Jobs

Reporting to the Director of Sourcing, the Sourcing Associate is responsible for applying best practices and strategies for sourcing and managing packaging vendor partners, creating RFQs and upholding quality standards. The goal is to establish a sustainable supply chain with competitive price to meet business growth demands.
Key Responsibilities:
•Establish relationships with partner vendors, negotiate best pricing, lead time, payment terms and supplier performance in support of company objectives
•Focus on cost reduction during negotiations with vendors and find logistical cost savings opportunities
•Create and analyze RFQs and bid packages
•Maintain vendor database and vendor performance scorecard records
•Assist with QA and CAPA investigations and uphold company quality standards
•Verify vendor capabilities with on-site visits and perform pre-production press checks
•Manage Sourcing and QA logistics
•Perform market, regulatory and competition research
•All other duties as assigned
Skill Requirements:
•Aptitude to understand the organization’s purpose, business and industry, including related landscapes (financial, regulatory, legal, etc.)
•Knowledge of sourcing, procurement and QA techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
•Experienced in networking and building partnerships
•Comfortable working flexible hours and communicating with overseas supplier
•Aptitude in decision-making and confident negotiation skills
•Experience in collecting and analyzing data
•Strong computer skills including proficiency in Smartsheet and Microsoft Office, NetSuite a plus
•Knack to develop positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external supplier partners
•Exceptional attention to detail with high level of accuracy & organization
•Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
•Ability to work cross-functionally
•Ability to manage workload independently and schedules work around objectives and priorities, not hours
•Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced, start-up environment
•Ability to work under deadlines; pressure-immune
Experience Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field preferred
•At least 3 years of previous sourcing experience, procurement and QA experience preferred
•Previous experience sourcing from Asia, Mexico, South America and Central America a plus
•Previous experience at a packaging company preferred
•Familiarity with CR packaging a plus
•Working knowledge of AQL and CAPA processes
•Comfortable working remote
•Occasionally required to travel to visit suppliers
