Job Role: Strategic Sourcing Manager
Location: Remote- Washington, United States
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Pay Range: $63 /hr. to $64/hr. W2
JOB SUMMARY:
The role contributes to success by developing and leading sourcing strategies, and managing suppliers and internal networks to deliver best-in-class performance for the relevant spending area. It delivers measurable and strategic goals to enable a competitive advantage to bottom-line and top-line company growth, and corporate social responsibility leadership. Collaborates internally at all levels and with suppliers. Develop effective multi-year negotiation strategies to enable success. Manages a strategic spend of up to (USD)100MM plus depending upon market complexity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyzes highly complex data and market industry information from multiple sources to develop strategic sourcing recommendations.
• Identifies unique sources for data and information to leverage in category strategy and influence.
• Conducts opportunity assessments, benchmarking, cost modeling, and root cause analysis to develop sourcing recommendations.
• Collaborates effectively internally and with suppliers to gather data and develop analytical insights.
• Consistently deliver measurable and strategic goals to enable a competitive advantage to bottom-line and top-line company growth, and corporate social responsibility leadership.
• Develop effective multi-year sourcing and negotiation strategies to enable success.
• Lead using demonstrated and proven experience and the application of best practice sourcing skills.
• Lead complex, cross-functional sourcing projects. Develop and execute sourcing strategies. Identify and capture cost savings and operational improvement opportunities.
• Employ strong knowledge of key industry players, competitors, and market dynamics.
• Develop new effective business and professional relationships with strategic suppliers and industry players.
• Professionally manage and measure suppliers for continuous performance and improvement via contracting and compliance, business reviews, and performance management.
• Employ advanced program and project management tools, solutions, and techniques.
• Independently solve problems and make decisions for primary and strategic execution and tactical issues within the relevant portfolio of projects and or processes.

***Focused solely on services and technology, and experience in sourcing/contracting to purchase goods, whether direct or indirect, just isn’t the same function or skill set.
Skills:
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 6+ years of procurement analytics, and sourcing experience, preferably in a growth, retail/manufacturing/tech
• Advanced analytical skills, adept in business planning, financial management, and budget management
• Strong knowledge of external market analysis, macro-economic drivers, sourcing category strategy, supplier relationship management, strategic vendor alliance programs, ‘should-cost’ models, multi-year negotiation strategies, supplier continuous improvement programs/Lean Initiatives
• Knowledge of critical procurement legal requirements and contracting best practices
• Knowledge of business ethics and Ethical Sourcing Requirements; strong sense of accountability and integrity
• Exceptional ability to influence at more senior levels both internally and externally.
• Exceptional communication both written and oral
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office, advanced to expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems. Experience with spend analytics and visualization programs, RFx programs, as well as source-to-pay or procure-to-pay technologies.
Education:
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in an accounting, business, engineering, supply chain, or related discipline preferred.
