The Head of Program Management supports Carnival Corporation’s Global Casino Operations (GCO) to drive operational efficiencies, effectiveness and revenue optimization across the global organization. The role is responsible for impacting productivity, streamlining and communicating strategic initiatives, overseeing project management, and communicating objectives within GCO and all Carncorp brands.
The candidate will participate in, along with GCO Senior Leadership, the development and deployment all major administrative, financial, programmatic and operational activities for GCO. They will prioritize critical programs which impact major business objectives. The candidate will provide oversight and guidance to projects of high importance and act as a key advisor/resource to GCO Senior Leadership. This responsibility will require the candidate to engage in a high degree of coordination and collaboration across all GCO departments.
The role has a broad remit, interacting with all key GCO departments and ensuring an understanding of all major departmental priorities and initiatives. They will update Senior Leadership on all pertinent business issues and represent Leadership when schedule conflicts arise. They will be involved in all key annual planning activities and coordinate with FP&A on major presentations.
The successful candidate will have broad business background, strong financial acumen, an understanding of key IT technology, and have strong project management skills.
Essential Functions
  • Oversee major strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of the Sr. Director of Finance & Accounting and the GCO Leadership team
  • Coordinate disparate analytical functions and reporting to ensure logical and ongoing coordinated presentations and communication
  • Oversee daily operations through collaboration with senior management and department leaders
  • Create and maintain a library of presentations and communications utilized in projects and cyclical processes/campaigns
  • Communicate overall business objectives and accomplishments to Operating brands
  • Assist and communicate with GCO Senior Leadership on major project development and management initiatives
  • Assist with the preparation and dissemination of communications; serve as liaison between staff, executives, senior leaders, and shipboard HR
  • Find knowledge and skills gaps and help address them; build and develop relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations
  • Track and coordinate the GCO’s ongoing business performance to ensure adherence to strategic initiatives, timelines, KPIs, and corporate mission statement
  • Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity; review, design, and execute on improvements to org structure and resource planning
  • Ensure a consistent presentation “look and feel” across all teams
  • Less than 25% shipboard travel likely
  • Suggest edits as needed
  • Create presentations utilizing notes, data, and tables provided by the subject matter experts, and enhance with graphics, formatting, etc. as necessary
  • Work with GHR to develop and memorialize GCO’s formal onboarding process for all new hires
Qualifications
  • Experience with budget management
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Proven success in a project coordination role
  • Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
  • 5+ years in a business or executive management role
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
  • Outstanding team player
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 Office Suite (Including Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
  • Prior business or executive management role; project management experience highly desired
  • Knowledge of appropriate data privacy laws
  • Proficiency in Data Visualization Platforms (PowerBI, Tableau or similar)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance
  • Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives with focus and transparency, holding people accountable, empowering teams, building bridges and promoting team and business success
  • Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
  • Consulting experience with a focus on operations management
The range for this role’s base salary is $130,000 - $175,000. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
