Position: Advanced GIS Analyst
Skills
Advanced experience using Esri's Roads & Highways
Advanced experience in GIS analysis, including the Esri suite of products
Strong knowledge and understanding of GIS principles, theories, and practices
Strong skills in development of analysis procedures, complex system integration, software configuration management, and business analysis
Experience troubleshooting and providing customer support
Experience working with large, relational databases
Experience with integrating and implementing complex technology solutions
Advanced experience working with linear referencing systems

As a Specialist - Expert, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing GIS analytic processes such as change detection and geoprocessing workflows. You will also develop and execute advanced queries or scripts, maintain roadway centerline and linear referenced data using Esri Roads & Highways, and utilize GIS and organizational best practices to maintain and manage GIS layers. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and documenting workflows, standards, and best practices, executing test plans for all levels of system testing, scheduling meetings, and coordinating project deliverables. You will also be involved in developing instructions for application support, ensuring smooth operations and efficient processes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have advanced experience using Esri's Roads & Highways and be proficient in GIS analysis, including the Esri suite of products. You should also have a strong understanding of GIS principles, theories, and practices, and be skilled in development of analysis procedures, complex system integration, software configuration management, and business analysis. Troubleshooting and customer support experience, along with working knowledge of large, relational databases and complex technology solutions, are also essential for this position. Experience with linear referencing systems is a must.
We are offering remote work options until all staff return to site, and we expect you to use your personal equipment for remote work initially, with a desktop provided once the agency returns to site. • Personal equipment is expected to be used for remote work. They will connect to DOT's network using their device/internet and then use a virtual machine via Citrix. Once the agency returns to site, the contractor will be provided a desktop.
• The candidate will be allowed to work remotely until all staff return to site. At that point, the candidate will be required to come onsite.
