ASRC Federal is seeking a GIS Analyst II to join our team.
Responsibilities:
ASRC Federal is seeking a GIS Analyst II to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and maintaining shapefiles, layers, and geodatabases.
- Maintains the accuracy of geospatial data.
- Transposes data from source documents to GIS format.
- Imports data into mapping software such as ArcGIS and analyzes the information to create digital maps.
- Uploading, updating, and managing data in USDA cultural resources databases.
- Preparing maps for a variety of purposes such as fieldwork, emergency response, compliance reports and for public displays.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience with Master’s degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science or Computer Science
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience developing python scripts for geoprocessing.
- Experience developing ArcGIS Server services.
- Experience supporting USDA and/or rural development
- Experience supporting government contracts or federal work experience
- Be able to travel if necessary
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to geospatial data, such as data privacy laws, data sharing agreements, and licensing agreements.
