Job Title: General Manager - Truss Plant
Location: West Coast, USA
Company Overview:
We are a leading manufacturer of trusses and building components, serving the residential and commercial construction markets. Our company is committed to delivering quality products and exceptional customer service to our clients. We operate manufacturing facilities across the United States, and we are currently seeking a General Manager to oversee operations at one of our West Coast plants.
Job Overview:
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing plant's operations, including production, quality control, safety, and personnel management. You will report directly to the company's area senior management team and work closely with other department heads to ensure that the plant runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of the manufacturing plant's operations, including production, quality control, safety, and personnel management.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve plant efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability. • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure that the plant meets its production goals and delivers quality products on time.
• Hire, train, and manage staff to ensure that the plant operates efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements where necessary.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on plant performance, including production metrics, financials, and employee feedback.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing management, with and emphasis in the truss industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a large team of employees and oversee multiple departments.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate employees to achieve production goals.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues quickly and effectively.
• Proven track record of implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards related to manufacturing operations.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and senior management.
