We are seeking a General Manager to drive our strategy and execution across our Commercial sector. Reporting to the CPO, you will have the opportunity to accelerate the growth of a $60M+ safety and compliance training business with thousands of customers across manufacturing, oil/gas, property management, engineering, and construction sectors.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Product teams to drive Commercial sector growth and retention.
- Analyze current sales, marketing and CX practices and recommend improvements to drive sales and retention goals.
- Develop the Commercial sector GTM and Product strategy.
- Support large deal pursuits and renewals.
- Lead a small team of sector managers; establishing KPIs to measure success.
- Co-own the renewals target with the CXO and support the renewals team’s development.
- Identify acquisition opportunities and work closely with the M&A team on due diligence and post-merger integration.
- Develop the Commercial courseware annual development plan.
- Co-own the sales target with the VP of Commercial Sales and support sales team’s development.
- Stay ahead of market trends, customer needs, competitor moves and translate them into product and GTM strategies and execution plans.
Requirements:
- Strong persuasive, collaborative skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Anticipates business needs and follow through with minimum direction.
- Ability to work across multiple functional teams.
- Strong leadership experience, ability to lead a team and measuring outcomes.
- 10+ years’ experience working within B2B SaaS organization to lead strategy development and execution; or equivalent experience within commercial sector (industrial, manufacturing, engineering, construction).
- Proficient in utilizing data and analytics to structure, track and improve KPIs and forecasts.
- Thrives in a fast paced and collaborate environment, with proven ability to adapt.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, Master’s preferred.
- Proven success to lead and drive outcomes without having direct authority over internal resources.
- Exceptional communicator with a direct communication style and the ability to articulate a clear vision and value proposition to internal stakeholders, customers, and market.
