Fund Accountant Jobs

Job Responsibilities

· The new accounting hire will work on a lean team of 5 others handling fund accounting responsibilities.

· This is an exceptional shop with little to no turnover on the accounting team, with the position created due to growth.

· The newly created role will focus primarily on the $6B of long/short fund.

· The Fund Accountant will be offered the tools to succeed and grow within their role, earning greater responsibilities over time.

· The Fund Accountant will be responsible for:

· overseeing and shadowing the fund administrator’s work;

· driving daily reconciliations;

· processing corporate actions;

· calculating management and incentive fees;

· reviewing allocation of fund expenses;

· assisting with the fund’s annual audit;

· reviewing K1s and answering investor queries related to tax issues;

· financial statement preparation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

· The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of hedge fund accounting experience with a focus on long/short strategies.

· Advent Geneva experience is preferred but not required.

· Familiarity with complex financial instruments is necessary.
